Position: Warehouse Manager

Bird Dog Talent Consulting & Recruiting is a leading recruitment agency that specializes in connecting top talent with companies in various industries. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our client's team.

Position Overview:

As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our client's warehouse, manage a team of warehouse staff, and ensure the efficient and timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of improving warehouse processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
  • Develop and implement warehouse processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of warehouse staff, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security standards in the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory audits.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Monitor and track warehouse KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  • Prepare and present reports on warehouse operations to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments to implement best practices in warehouse management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of warehouse management software and inventory management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety and security standards in a warehouse setting
  • Experience in implementing process improvements and cost-saving measures
