IT Infrastructure Manager - This position is located onsite in New Era, MI and is not a remote position.


HomeTown Pharmacy is a privately owned chain of pharmacies across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio serving, retail, long term care, infusion and home health care supplies. The company is headquartered in New Era, MI currently providing services to 40 retail locations as well as five closed door pharmacies. The company is looking for an experienced IT professional to join the senior management team and be responsible for all IT applications and deployment.

Job Duties:

  • Establishes the overall direction of the company’s infrastructure information systems (IS) with the Director of IT; executes this strategy in collaboration with company leadership.
  • Oversee technical projects in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manages the effective delivery of network services, applications, disaster recovery systems, data security and processes.
  • Develop internal policies and procedures for auditing and compliance needs.
  • Develop IT hardware and software standards and sources of supply.
  • Coordinate with and direct information engineers to find solutions to manage business activities. (The current team size is 3 engineers.)
  • Supervise and develop a team of IT professionals, while working closely with all departments.
  • Prepare departmental hardware and software budgets; ability to maximize resources and manage capacity
  • Identifies and recommends new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations; reviews requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization.
  • Approves the purchase, license, or other acquisition of hardware, software, or services needed to meet company needs.
  • Maintains pace with technological progress, economic change, and company needs by directing continual improvements of IS staff, equipment, and procedures
  • Ensure continuous Infrastructure and data security measures are in place and tested to reduce risk.
  • Develop integrations for sharing medical information within the infrastructure tools and plans.
  • Manage IT contracts and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor information technology performance and recommend improvements
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology Management. Have experience training and mentoring others.
  • 5 years' experience in healthcare related Information Technology.
  • Ability to think critically and develop strategic solutions that align to business objectives.
  • Experience with e Commerce and website management
  • Direct supervision of onsite and remote staff and outsourced vendors.
  • 2 to 3 years of cloud base technology deployments.
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience of the delivery of Microsoft cloud services, (O365, MS collaboration tools, Device Management (Intune), and Azure AD tools)
  • Be familiar with security and risk mitigation tactics in the healthcare setting.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with healthcare and transaction technologies.
  • Preferred but not required is an understanding of EPICOR and QS1 softwares.
  • Experience with Bit Titan is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly master technology used in the organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • An understanding of HIPAA and PHI requirements
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
