POSITION

King City Gardens is seeking a Delivery Specialist. The Delivery Specialist, or Driver, is responsible for transporting packages and other goods from the facility to a personal or business address. Their duties include loading goods, using navigation tools to arrive at the right address, and delivering parcels to the correct address. 

JOB DUTIES

  • Follow the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck.
  • Communicate with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to make deliveries.
  • Meet delivery deadlines.
  • Perform basic truck maintenance.
  • Load and unload cargo.
  • Track shipments and deliveries.
  • Obtain client or customer signatures when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of how to handle materials safely, such as food or chemicals.
  • Familiarity with using navigation systems.
  • Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
  • Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving.
  • Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo.
  • Highschool diploma or GED.
  • MVR must be obtained.


COMPENSATION
In the spirit of pay transparency, we can share that the pay range for this position is $20 per hour, commensurate with experience. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
