Low Voltage Technician Trainee (Entry Level Position)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
We are looking for a candidate that is interested in gaining experience in the Low Voltage Industry. The selected hire will assist technicians with the following: examine unit to locate defects such as broken wires or burned-out components using electronic test equipment. Inspect wiring and remove broken wires from units. Cut new wire to specified lengths, use wire cutters, or obtain pre-cut wires. Re-route and solder wires to specified terminals by following wiring diagram. Repair defective soldering. Remove, repair, or replace defective components, such as resisters, transformers, and capacitors, using a variety of hand tools and brush touch-up paint on cabinet or case, and varnish on exposed wiring.
Requirements:
Willingness and eagerness to continue to learn and grow
Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Demonstrate some knowledge of all types of hand tools.
Must have a positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance.
Must be professional and able to get along with fellow workers, other tradesmen on the job site, inspectors, customers and the public.
Must have reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
This position requires physical activity including extended periods of standing and walking, frequent sitting, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, stooping and climbing.
Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or carry materials and/or supplies and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifting and/or carrying of materials and/or supplies weighing up to 100 lbs.
