Position Overview:

The VP of Architecture will lead the Modern Infrastructure COE (Center of Excellence) setting strategic goals and managing resources to meet performance targets. Key responsibilities will include developing high-level designs, addressing technical queries, and supporting sales efforts. The VP will engage with industry leaders, collaborate on cross-sell solutions with the CTO, and train sales teams. This role also involves staying updated on industry trends, maintaining certifications, and working with service delivery teams to improve processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Develop and implement goals, initiatives, and strategies for the Modern Infrastructure Center of Excellence (COE)
    • Manage team resources effectively to meet sales pipeline and COE goals
    • Prepare and present reports on performance, progress, and challenges, providing executive-level summaries
    • Engage with industry leaders to inform research and solution development activities that solve client challenges
    • Work with the CTO and other COE leaders to develop cross-sell / co-sell solutions
  • Support Sales Conversations
    • Lead discussions with clients to explore challenges, offer insights, and propose solutions
    • Provide answers to partner product/licensing and architecture/integration questions
    • Keep Client Directors informed about the progress of technical deliverables
    • Train sales teams to initiate conversations and prequalify leads in Modern Infrastructure
    • Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs), Bills of Material (BOMs), and write Statements of Work (SOWs)
    • Collaborate with subcontractor and partner sales/pre-sales teams to accelerate sales success
    • Conduct workshops, lunch-and-learns, webinars, and represent the company at conferences and industry events
    • Initiate regular communication with the sales team to understand and meet their needs
    • Share relevant industry trends, updates, and best practices with the sales team and clients
  • Maintain Expertise
    • Continuously update and expand knowledge on relevant technologies and solutions
    • Maintain certifications relevant to Modern Infrastructure
    • Work with service delivery teams to define skillset roadmaps and gather feedback on process improvements


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related business and IT experience with extensive experience managing multiple cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Previous experience managing in a technology related company.
  • Strong background in business processes, technologies and systems that support best-in-class operations including high volume and high availability environments.
  • Proven success building, mentoring and fully developing a successful team.
  • Ability to balance short term tactical decisions with long term strategic thinking.
  • Capable of working under stringent timelines, and ability to lead during intense situations and adapt to fast changing business conditions.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with a diverse array of stakeholders, including the board, peers, customers, vendors, partners, and thought leaders within their respective market.
  • Ability to lead, influence and communicate across the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish rapport and trust.
