The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. This role involves executing scheduled maintenance tasks, identifying potential issues before they become problems, and contributing to the overall reliability and efficiency of our operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems according to established procedures and timelines.
  • Inspection and Monitoring: Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify and address signs of wear, corrosion, or other potential issues.
  • Repairs and Troubleshooting: Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to determine the root cause and implement effective solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and promote best practices in maintenance operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and practices to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members, engineers, and operators to address and resolve equipment-related issues and contribute to team goals.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of maintenance supplies and parts, and reorder as necessary to ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
  • And any other tasks assigned by mgmt.

Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering) preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a maintenance role, with a focus on preventative maintenance; experience in [specific industry or type of equipment] is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; familiarity with maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and accuracy in all maintenance tasks.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document maintenance activities and interact effectively with team members.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:


• Stand and walk for extended periods

• Walk on uneven ground and wet or slippery floors

• Twisting, turning, kneeling, stooping and bending most of the day

• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Exposure to spices (allergens) including but not limited to soy and wheat

• Exposure to high noise levels and high heat environment


PPE - Slip-resistant shoes, hair and beard net, safety glasses and ear plugs are required in the work areas, gloves are recommended.
