WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
The Maintenance Technician ensures that production and facility equipment is operational and in good condition with both repairs and preventative maintenance. Some of the specific duties include: • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. • Work with suppliers/vendors for troubleshooting support and to source replacement parts • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments on a variety pneumatic, hydraulic and electric equipment • Vertical and Horizontal CNC maintenance: Troubleshooting/Diagnostic skills (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. • Communicate with management on findings and status of work • Work efficiently and with proper prioritization to maintain production uptime • Complete Preventative Maintenance on all equipment required • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. • Organization of parts storage and tool storage. • Must be physically present with regular and dependable attendance. The companies San Diego facility manufactures the Calmark and Birtcher product lines. These components are printed circuit board retainers and conduction cooled assemblies which are used primarily in aerospace and defense applications where traditional convection cooling cannot be used or additional retention force is required. Components manufactured onsite utilize CNCs, Saws and hydraulic punch presses.
YOU HAVE: • 3+ years of general maintenance experience in manufacturing environment • Ability to read manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 2 • Ability to rapidly troubleshoot and diagnose problems and work with cross functional teams to resolve issues • Curiosity about machines and how they work and a mechanical mindset
