About Care.com

Care.com is a consumer tech company with heart. We're on a mission to solve a human challenge we all face: finding great care for the ones we love. We also support employers and their employees with our suite of B2B products and services that gives them flexibility and choice to manage their family caregiving needs (childcare, senior care, pet care, and more). That way, employees can focus on managing the demands of work and stay productive.

The B2B Marketing team is seeking a Proposal Specialist who will support knowledge management and the Care for Business proposal response program. This includes writing, editing and project managing responses for Requests For Proposal (RFPs), Requests For Information (RFIs), and other industry requests that come from prospective clients and existing clients who are looking to renew their contract. The Proposal Specialist will maintain our RFP/RFI response tool (Loopio) and intranet, as a resource for the Sales and Account Management teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the response process for RFPs, RFIs, and prospect/client questionnaires.
  • Analyze business requirements, and establish an approach, win themes and align with the sales team or account manager on accurate responses
  • Project manage overall RFP/RFI process by assigning tasks, ensuring deliverables are submitted, and deadlines are met across subject matter experts, stakeholders reviewing responses, and teams customizing content as needed to meet RFx requirements
  • Compile materials, write, and edit content in collaboration with sales teams, subject matter experts, content managers, legal and compliance teams.
  • Contribute to team-wide initiatives to improve processes and create efficiencies.
  • Provide peer-review of RFPs as needed.
  • Curate and manage the RFP response library (Loopio) and intranet (Wiki)
  • Support the development of significant sales presentations

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a tight deadline environment is critical
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability and willingness to work in a "deadline" environment; you can prioritize so due dates are met
  • A natural skilled "storyteller" with strong writing and editing skills
  • Able to communicate (both written and verbal) succinctly while ensuring there is enough context/ necessary information that the reader/audience needs
  • Very strong writing and editing skills with a desire to take feedback from your talented peers
  • Excellent people skills: you are engaging, trusting, and people want to work with you
  • Friendly, and genuinely enjoy a team environment, yet ready to run with projects independently
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Familiarity with RFP database (Loopio) a plus
  • Intellectually curious with an interest in investing
  • 1-3+ years experience in similar role
  • APMP certified a plus
