Position Description

GoldenWolf, LLC is looking for a dedicated BIM/CAD Specialist - Plumbing to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining REVIT models for both new and ongoing projects. You'll play a key role in developing and upholding our BIM/CAD standards, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all models. Collaboration is essential, as you'll work closely with project teams to ensure all models meet project requirements and attend coordination meetings to resolve any conflicts. You'll also provide vital BIM production support, producing precise penetration and as-built CAD documentation based on guidance from the production team, developed from LiDAR 3D images. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, the ability to work independently and remotely, and be open to traveling monthly as needed.


Key Responsibilities


Plumbing Model Creation:

  • Develop detailed plumbing models using REVIT from LiDAR 3D images.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of plumbing models in accordance with project requirements.
  • Travel will be required to capture LiDAR images and backcheck of data.
LiDAR and BIM Integration:
  • Assist with LiDAR capture of 3D images.
  • Utilize LiDAR data to create precise and reliable REVIT files for plumbing systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest imaging and BIM technologies.
Project Collaboration: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to meet design specifications and deadlines.
Documentation and Quality Control:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for plumbing models and related activities.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure models meet established standards.
  • Prepare regular reports on project status and performance metrics.
Requirements:

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential.
  • Plumbing or construction experience is a plus
  • Experience with LiDAR technology and interpreting Point Cloud files is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) government background check.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30-50 pounds at times.
  • Capable of traveling once a month as needed.
  • Ability to work remotely and on-site, as required by the project.
  • May need to climb, crawl, and crouch to access equipment if required on site visits.
  • Travel will be required. Approximately once a month for multiple weeks.
