Director of FP&A

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis activities while overseeing day-to-day accounting operations. This role requires strong expertise in financial management, QuickBooks Online, billing processes, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and general ledger (GL) reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
• Develop and maintain financial models to assess performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop annual operating budgets and monitor performance against financial targets.
• Manage the billing and invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoice generation and collection.
• Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions, including vendor payments, expense management, and reconciliation.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational needs and capital investments.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management based on analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in accounting and finance operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations teams to optimize revenue generation and cost management strategies.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; an MBA or CPA is preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, accounting, or finance leadership roles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced knowledge of financial modeling and analysis.
• Experience managing billing, invoice collection, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP) processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices in accounting and finance operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence decision-making.
