Job DescriptionJob Description

Burrow Global is seeking to hire a Contract Rotating Equipment Project Engineer. This position will support unit operations and capital project development. This will include assisting in providing unit support and help assist with technical requisitions and evaluating bids for rotating equipment (pumps, generators and compressors) in the PDP, FEED and detailed design phases of needed capital projects. This is a 6-month contract assignment. Active TWIC card is required.

Daily Duties:

  • Provide rotating equipment support and troubleshooting in a process environment.
  • Aid in the design & development of rotating equipment packages & systems, & redesign of existing systems
  • Review and verification of equipment supplier’s engineering, the testing and commissioning of equipment
  • Monitor equipment downtime with a focus on key process equipment
  • Conduct technical audits on project
  • Assist with specification and selection of suitable rotating machinery, plus testing and commissioning of suitable equipment
  • Preparation of Equipment Technical Specifications, such as Specification and Mechanical Data Sheets, for enquiry
  • Preparation of Equipment Technical Specifications for order and estimates for engineering and design man hours
  • Review of Process Data Sheets and Supplier documentation for integration within Project design, such as GA / Details / Calculations / Fabrication Procedures
  • Develop project reference manuals
  • Prepares rotating equipment and driver selection reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information on the various options for equipment selection.
  • Estimate man-hours, staffing, forecasting, and participating in the development of the project schedule, tracking status, maintaining completion of mechanical deliverables on schedule and change management.
  • Provide engineering support by answering technical questions and requests.
  • Identification, submittal and resolution of scope changes and deviations

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a petrochemical environment providing rotating equipment support

  • Software knowledge should include Microsoft Office applications.
