Our Testing Technician team is growing Our ideal candidate will meet the qualifications and experience below:


Ability to work Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Fridays 6:00 am to 12:00 pm. Overtime is available. Pay starts at $18 and increases based upon experience and abilities.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum One Year of Experience as a Testing Technician in a shipyard


Responsibilities:

  • Performs test in accordance with ABS or Gov. Specifications to the hull, service tanks, wet spaces, and deckhouses to ensure structural strength and tightness.
  • Performs Hydro Testing in accordance with ABS or Gov. Specifications of Service Tanks, Piping Systems, and Sea Valves.
  • Perform minimal welding and burning activities.
  • Seal Tanks and Air Test for tightness.
  • Performs hose test (air and water) for tightness.
  • Conduct hydro test for strength and tightness.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
  • Works with various hand tools, power tools, welding and burning equipment, test equipment, hoses and fittings.
  • Housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
