Position Overview:

We are seeking a professional and friendly Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Medical Receptionist to join our Columbia office. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, assisting them with electronic check-in, scheduling, and general inquiries. With our dedicated call center handling most incoming calls, you can focus on providing exceptional in-person service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Assist patients with our electronic check-in process, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Help patients schedule follow-up appointments and manage the flow of the waiting room.
  • Customer Service: Greet patients with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Bilingual Communication: Provide clear communication in both English and Spanish, assisting Spanish-speaking patients with their needs.We have a call center to handle most calls .
  • Records Management: Use Athenahealth EMR to update patient information, process paperwork, and ensure records are maintained accurately.
  • Support to Medical Staff: Assist medical staff with administrative tasks as needed, contributing to a smooth workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English): Fluency in Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population.
  • Experience: Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with electronic medical records (Athenahealth EMR experience is a plus) and electronic check-in systems.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient satisfaction.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Team Player: Willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
