General Description

Works closely with engineers and program/project managers to support the design and development of avionics integrations into airborne structures. Plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating engineering tasks, to include the development of electrical schematics, harness fabrication drawings, engineering work instructions, systems engineering documents, and test procedures. Assists program managers and project coordinators with coordinating meetings and deliverables.

Duties

  • Manage and coordinate engineering efforts across multiple projects, ensuring seamless integration of aviation systems and components.
  • Maintain project scope and budget in accordance with the statement of work (SOW) and customer requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.
  • Provide accurate and timely estimates to completion for ongoing projects, ensuring adherence to established timelines.
  • Prioritize project tasking based on urgency, importance, and resource availability.
  • Actively participate in technical meetings and reviews, offering valuable insights and expertise to enhance project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and Basis of Estimate (BOE) documents.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with customers, program managers, and stakeholders to address concerns and provide regular project updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Associate's degree. (4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in aviation integration projects, preferably with exposure to government contracts.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a significant plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address project challenges effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to evolving project requirements and priorities.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
