As a Project Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for executing key projects. You will play a critical role in project management, executive reporting, and fostering cross-functional collaboration across departments including Design, Product, Test, Finance, Sales, and Operations.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your contributions will shape the success of our company as you lead the implementation of strategic projects that drive growth and innovation. You will have the chance to leverage your strong leadership and problem-solving skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.

This position requires you to work onsite in San Diego, CA in a hyrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and run executive meetings using strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Coordinate and facilitate:
    • Executive staff meetings on a weekly basis.
    • Executive daily stand-up task force meetings as needed to align priorities and address urgent matters.
    • Quarterly board update meetings to communicate key updates, progress, and achievements.
    • Semi-annual/quarterly board strategy meetings to discuss strategic initiatives and long-term goals.
    • All-Hands meetings to foster collaboration and share important information across the organization.
    • Monthly operational reviews to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and address any operational challenges.
    • Monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align sales forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels.

Project Management:

  • Utilize strong Excel skills to efficiently manage and oversee various projects, including:
    • Initiating and executing new product introductions in a cross-functional environment
    • Effectively monitoring and optimizing labor inventory management
    • Collaborating with IC Design teams to determine and incorporate accurate labor hour input factors
    • Working closely with Operations to manage direct costs related to COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and labor hours
    • Coordinating with Product Engineering to accurately allocate labor hours and assess direct costs
    • Establishing a strong partnership with Finance to acquire new project value estimates for conducting comprehensive project comparisons

Engineering Metrics:

  • Collaborate with all engineering groups and establish a systematic approach to obtain meaningful and measurable metrics that align with business objectives.
  • Take ownership of these metrics, regularly engaging with engineering teams to monitor their progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance as needed.
  • Compile comprehensive reports on the metrics, analyzing the data and presenting it to both the executive staff and board for informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Legal Documents:

  • Manage and execute NDAs, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within a technical space
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (e.g., slide design, animations, advanced formatting)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery from initiation to completion
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project execution
  • Knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and changing work environment

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in Project Management
  • Experience in new product introduction and cross-functional project management
  • Familiarity with engineering metrics and financial analysis
