DVS is looking for an Asset Manager Lead/Project Manager to join our team in Alexandria, VA. This position is remote although local candidates preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage asset management projects, including the 3-year technical refresh cycle, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including OBIT, procurement, and logistics teams, to ensure smooth execution and alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Report project status, including progress, issues, and solutions, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Asset Management:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of NSF-owned IT hardware assets, including workstations and mobile devices.
- Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures in line with the 3-year technical refresh cycle.
- Track asset inventory, usage, and maintenance schedules using ServiceNow.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standardization initiatives (CCPP and CAMP), and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze asset data to optimize usage and reduce costs, particularly focusing on warranty expiries and replacement planning.
- Establish and manage a bench stock of IT hardware supplies within the IT Service Desk workspace.
- Manage the procurement, deployment, and replacement of approximately 1,000 workstations annually, and ensure efficient upgrade of 170 handheld mobile devices.
Qualifications:
- Masters and 8 years' experience or Bachelors and 11 years' experience or High School Diploma and 17 years' experience.
- Experience in asset management or a related role.
- Proven experience in project management, with certification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Required Skills:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- 8+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects
- 8+ years of experience managing communications
- 8+ years of customer service experience
- 8+ years of Requirements Definition/Analysis
- 8+ years of Design Analysis
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- 2+ years of ServiceNow experience
Desired Skills:
- ITIL Service Management
- 3+ years of Asset Management Leadership
