Mama's on the Half Shell is currently hiring for a full-time OR part-time Host - Hostess to provide exceptional customer service while greeting and seating our guests in the Baltimore and Owings Mills, MD area. This entry-level hospitality position earns a competitive wage of $15/hour, depending on experience.

DAY-TO-DAY

This entry-level hospitality position can be full- or part-time and has a varying schedule. Our restaurant is open 7 days a week.

As a full- or part-time Host - Hostess, you use your excellent customer service skills to greet our guests. You are our customers' first and last impression of our restaurant and staff. We sell fun, so you speak to each guest kindly and cheerfully. You seat each party according to our current availability. When things get busy, you competently estimate wait times, take down names, and keep customers updated. If guests come to you with needs or requests, you promptly notify the manager or server. You love working with people every day and take pride in providing the best possible experience to our customers


ABOUT MAMA'S ON THE HALF SHELL

In 2003, our opening day was the realization of five years of dreaming, discussing, and collecting. It is our hope that when our customers are with us, they feel welcomed into our home with open arms. There really is no average age at Mama's on the Half Shell, making our restaurant a true destination for great food and celebration. As native "Baltimoreans," we felt Baltimore needed a thoughtful, classic seafood restaurant. Our menu is important, but we also want our guests to come in and feel comfortable for any occasion, be it a business meeting, Sunday football, a birthday, an anniversary, or just some time out. Our restaurant is a place where you could "bring it or bring it down." We're the neighborhood bar that everyone wants to go to

It's our family-friendly environment that makes our guests feel at home, and we credit our staff for helping us create such a fun, low-key atmosphere.
