Job Summary


The Construction Specialist will work directly with our clients to manage specific procurement and coordination tasks. You will play a critical role in the planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of tenant improvement projects. You’ll also work closely with landlords and client vendors to ensure sites are ready and material arrives as planned. To successfully complete this role you’ll need to be able to read architectural plans and provide quantity take-offs. All tasks are managed and executed via web based portals and purchasing software. You’ll also participate in weekly calls with the client providing real time updating.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Project Coordination: Participate in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction activities to ensure timely project completion.

· Client and Landlord Interaction: As the primary point of contact for clients in this role also work directly with landlords to obtain necessary approvals and buy-in for tenant improvement projects

· Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services that meet project specifications.

· Project Reporting and Documentation: Provide project-specific and program-specific reports as required by client and internal teams.

· Closeout and Training: Coordinate the timely closeout of projects, ensuring all documentation and final deliverables are completed. Provide client-specific training and direction as needed.

· Meetings and Communication: Attend program and project meetings, maintain meeting notes, and track team deliverables. Ensure effective communication and follow-up on action items.

· Leadership and Problem Solving: Participate in leadership training and mentorship programs to develop management skills. Proactively identify potential issues and collaborate with the project team to implement effective solutions.


Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of construction is preferred but not required.
  • Strong multitasking ability and the perseverance to see tasks through to completion.


Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related field is preferred but not required.

  • Two (2) years of experience in construction coordination, project management, or providing complex administrative support, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, procedures, materials, and building codes.
  • Technologically fluent to work on various computer and web based platforms.
  • Relevant certifications in Construction Management or related fields are a plus.
