Who We’re Looking For:

As a key member of the BNI Finance team, the Staff Accountant will be an essential contributor to the order-to-cash process. The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the monthly close process, maintaining accurate customer records and properly applying customer payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hungry to learn, has a strong desire to increase their accounting skills, maintains a high level of integrity and possesses a positive attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in month end close by recording journal entries and reconciling accounts
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of business partners, both domestic and international
  • Provide documentation and support for the annual audit
  • Identify areas for process improvement
  • Document key procedures
  • Ensure accuracy of the accounts receivable aging
  • Prepare and issue accurate and timely customer invoices
  • Liaison with customers to reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve issues
  • Follow-up on past due accounts
  • Collect, process and properly apply incoming payments
  • Fulfill ad hoc projects requested by Finance leadership

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • One to three years of accounting experience is preferred

  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and Excel
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail
  • Action oriented with a sense of urgency
  • A quick learner who extrapolates previously acquired knowledge to new scenarios
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform within a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders
