Dean of Students

POSITION DESCRIPTION
As an administrator, the Dean is the manager of the teachers, tutors, and student advisors. The objective is to oversee and support each position, project a sense of order and create an atmosphere of trust. The office of a Dean is responsible for serving as a point of information for school staff and responding to the direct needs of the parents, students and the staff.
OVERALL DUTIES
☐ We recommend 15 min prior to school starting
☐ Time/Attendance Management
☐ Host one weekly Staff meeting
☐ Handles major behavioral issues that occur in the classroom
☐ Conducts staff evaluations (2x year)
☐ Collaborate with recruiter to create monthly game plan
☐ Manage Student Advisors
☐ Manage Teacher/Teacher Aide
☐ Prioritize responsibilities to Assistant Dean
☐ Informs HR of staffing needs
☐ Complete and sign annual FLDOE compliance forms
☐ Ensure all annual inspections and fire drills are complete (Fire, Health, Food, etc.)
☐ Continual Evaluation of Campus Operations and implement changes to monitor improvements
ex: monetary, academic, performance
Description:- Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
- Working 1-1 with students in the classroom supporting students on their coursework
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1 year of experience working with students in a classroom setting
- Experience working with at-risk youth
- Experience working with 6th-12th grade students
