Job Summary: The primary function of this position is to provide technical expertise and support of the Safety Management System for field operations at NTI National Technologies. This position will primarily include field safety observations for various telecommunications and fiber projects in the Metro DC area. This position will also play an integral role in the facilitation of continuous improvement in the safety culture.

Essential Functions:

  • Help maintain and continuously improve all elements within the NTI Safety Management System.
  • Support safety policies and procedures specific to NTI Operations
  • Provide technical support on safety and compliance related items
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for ongoing projects
  • Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Assist with the development and delivery of toolbox talks and other safety communications as needed
  • Lead the incident response process for injuries and significant near hit occurrences
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for site specific construction sites
  • Conduct regular audits of construction sites and equipment to identify safety issues
  • Work closely with project managers to integrate safety into project planning and execution
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for field leaders to encourage a behavior-based safety approach
  • Implement and track corrective action items identified through site audits
  • Ensure continuous safety training and compliance within the DC Market
  • Assist the Safety Manager and TSQ team with additional responsibilities as needed
