Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Schedule: Full-Time, 36-40 hours per week, Variable Days

Salary: $33 to $48 per hour

Start Date: January 6, 2025

Job Overview:


As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be instrumental in providing advanced diagnostic imaging services, playing a crucial role in our patient care team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic healthcare setting.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures with high precision and accuracy following established protocols.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures, providing clear instructions and support.
  • Maintain optimal function of nuclear medicine equipment through regular calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation safety, infection control, and drug handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and workflow efficiency within the department.
  • Manage documentation and patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in continuous education and training, serving as a mentor to new technologists and contributing to team development.


Essential Functions:


  • Efficiently manage the workflow of nuclear medicine procedures to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Utilize AIDET communication principles to enhance patient interactions and service delivery.
  • Conduct patient assessments to ensure appropriateness of the prescribed procedure and patient's ability to undergo the exam.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for use.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.

Experience:

  • Preferably less than 1 year of experience; entry-level candidates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.

Certifications:

  • Required: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT-N) or by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
