Job Description:

QCH is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning to Work (LTW) Program Director to lead our program at the Young Adult Borough Center (YABC) at Arts & Business High School. The LTW Program Director will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the LTW program, ensuring it meets the needs of at-risk youth and aligns with QCH's goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in youth development, program management, and a commitment to supporting young adults in achieving their educational and career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management and Development:

  • Oversee daily operations of the LTW program, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement program curriculum and activities that align with the LTW model and meet participant needs.
  • Monitor program performance and outcomes, using QCH’s Salesforce data system to inform continuous improvement efforts.

Staff Supervision and Development:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff, including counselors and internship coordinators.
  • Provide ongoing professional development and support to staff, fostering a collaborative and effective team environment.

Participant Support and Engagement:

  • Ensure all participants receive individualized support, including academic guidance, postsecondary counseling, and personal development services such as soft-skills development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with participants, fostering a positive and supportive program culture.

Partnership and School Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with school administration, teachers, and other stakeholders to integrate the LTW program within the broader school community.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and other external partners to enhance program offerings and opportunities for participants.

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage program OTPS budgets.
  • Prepare and submit required reports, documentation, and work plans on time.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and standards of QCH and NYC DOE funders.

Other Duties:

  • Participate in QCH staff meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in youth program management, preferably in a school or community-based setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, program development, and budget management.
  • Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
