Trainer-Instructor
Instructing election workers in equipment, processes and procedures
September - December$25.00 an hour40 hour work weekPaid WeeklyDuties/Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstration/explanation of election procedures, processes, and voting equipment using a curriculum
  2. Work with a team of instructors to teach classes (in-person and some online) of 50 – 200 election judges and clerks
  3. Class Management (in-person and some Zoom)
  4. Set up and tear down classrooms including packing up all materials to be transported to other locations
  5. Answering phone calls from judges during voting periods
  6. Mastery of election content (manual and curriculum)
  7. General election duties, as needed
  8. Work mandatory election days (start of Early Voting, last day of Early Voting, and Election Day)
Required Skills/Abilities:
  1. Presentation skills (high engagement and pacing)
  2. MS Office programs
  3. Proficient/Experienced in Zoom
  4. Proficient/Experienced in Adult Learning
  5. Flexibility in fast-paced/changing environment
  6. Strong problem-solving skills
  7. Strong Customer service skills (including phone support)
Education and Experience:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  2. Must be able to lift 35 pounds for extended periods of time (throughout 3-4 hour classes).
