We're looking for someone that loves babies and preschoolers like we do at Rolling Hills We are hiring our next Full-Time Preschool Director at our Franklin Campus to inspire the next generation to fall in love with Jesus. Ideal candidates will have experience in early childhood ministry, enjoy recruiting and equipping volunteers, support parents as spiritual leaders, and create engaging programs for children from birth through Pre-K.



OBJECTIVE

To work under the direct supervision of the Central Kids Pastor and in cooperation with the leadership of the church in carrying out the five functions of the New Testament church:  worship, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship and ministry for the entire church. The Preschool Director’s responsibility is to lead young children as well as their families to Christ and to help them grow in the faith through a comprehensive Preschool Ministry for the children and parents of Rolling Hills Community Church as well as the community around us. The Preschool Director will implement this plan as a member of the RHCC staff team as one who leads, nurtures and serves the overall church body as we endeavor to fulfill the mission statement of the church.

EXPECTATIONS

- Live an exemplary life modeling the call, character and competencies of a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

- Be a servant leader to his or her staff and teams of volunteers, the families and the overall church body.

- Be involved in the overall life of the church body by actively participating in a community group and all other church-wide events and functions with his or her family.

- Be an excited and contributing member of the RHCC staff team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching and Discipleship 

- Develop and support a team of leaders and volunteers to teach and nurture children, infants through
pre-kindergarten, on Sunday mornings.

- Recruit, train, teach and disciple the preschool volunteer teams.

- Implement curriculum for use on Sunday mornings and personalize it to the needs of the children in the Preschool Ministry and Rolling Hills at large.

- Assist in strategic planning and set up of Preschool worship time.

- Working in conjunction with the Next Gen Pastor, implement a strategy to help equip parents to teach their children about Jesus and ways to have spiritual conversations in their homes.

- Support parents in their own spiritual growth and in their role as spiritual leaders for their children.

- Work with the staff to involve and integrate children and their families in the overall life of Rolling Hills Community Church.


Evangelism 

- Develop and support a ministry that teaches young children basic truths about God, laying a firm foundation for those children to accept Christ as their savior.

- Train and equip adults to lead children and their families to Christ .

- Work with the Family Ministry Team in planning and implementing community, family-focused outreach events such as Vacation Bible School, Easter Events,
and others as assigned.


Missions 

- Involve preschoolers and their families in local and national mission projects .

- Encourage family involvement in Rolling Hills mission programs, including Saturday Serve and national missions trips.

- Support parents and teachers in helping children lay a foundation for a rudimentary understanding of missions as a responsibility of a church and a Christ-follower.


Ministry 

- Provide central Preschool Ministry vision, strategy, and structure for programs and events. Also help provide resourcing and execution support as needed during various seasons at the regional campus level.

- Minister to preschoolers, their families, and preschool leadership, caring for them personally and spiritually.

- Coordinate with Core Team to ensure preschool families are cared for during hospital stays, new babies, etc.. 

- Plan and coordinate Family Dedication classes and services throughout the year.

- Work with the Family Ministry Team to coordinate and execute special events


Administration

- Continually recruit and equip Preschool ministry volunteers. 

- Ensure preschool classrooms are staffed for Sunday mornings.

- Maintain Sunday morning classroom rosters.

- Follow up with guests to the Preschool Ministry as well as children who have missed for three or more consecutive weeks.

- Track and understand attendance for the Preschool Ministry on Sunday mornings, including both children and volunteers to be able to make strategic ministry plans.

- Complete full onboarding process for all of those working with preschoolers. 

- Maintain an active social media presence and outreach for the Preschool Ministry and Family Ministry on Instagram.

- Order and secure all Preschool Ministry supplies and resources.

- Attend and participate in all Family Ministry staff meetings and weekly church staff meetings.

- Meet bi-monthly with the Kids Pastor for support, review, and input. 

- Work with the Family Ministry team to ensure Policies and Procedures are updated and implemented. 

- Contribute to weekly emails and church-wide communication regarding preschool information and stories. 

- Maintain and organize the resource area in the preschool space. 

- Oversee the Preschool Ministry intern(s), training them in the ministry and promoting their personal spiritual development.

- Any and all duties or tasks directed by the Next Gen and Kids Pastors.


QUALIFICATIONS

- Education – bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education, ministry/religion, or a related field; advanced education, while not necessary, is preferred. 

- Experience – Minimum of three years in church related ministry or the equivalent experience in working with children in other venues.- Spiritual – Must be a professing Christian with a true calling and passion for ministry and a member of Rolling Hills Community Church.
