Our offices are conveniently located in Annapolis, Glen Burnie, Odenton, Bowie, and Greenbelt in order to provide service to all communities. At AAU, we are dedicated to healthcare excellence and providing highly professional, compassionate, and personalized care to our patients.


As an Advanced Practice Provider (CRNP/PA-C) you are responsible for:

· Providing excellent Urologic care to new and established patients.

· Conducts physical exams, review medical history, test, medication, interprets tests, and prescribes appropriate medications and treatment.

· Document in real-time all evaluations, findings, treatments, and conversations in EMR. Complete patient charges.

· May assist physicians and perform procedures as needed.

· Administer medications such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy administration, assess patient symptoms and manage side effects.

· Assess patient/family needs and provide education.

· May be required to conduct rounds and provide hospital consultations.

· Limited hospital call required.

· Triage patients calls to determine plan of care and appropriate follow-up.

· Provide case management for patients and their families.

· Ability to effectively multi-task, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced Urology office.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective healthcare team member.

· Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn and share ideas to enhance positive patient care.

· Maintain & adhere to HIPAA compliance/ regulations.

· Mentor and supervise the activities of clinical nursing and support staff.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

· Graduate of a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in physician assistant or nurse practitioner studies.

· Must have a valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Maryland.

· Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

· Have at least 2 years of employment experience working in a Primary Care/ Urgent Care setting.

· Valid DEA drug license and controlled substance license in the state of Maryland

· Urology or surgical experience preferred but not essential.

Travel:

· Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other offices, as necessary.

Physical Demands of the Job:

· Regular sitting and standing for extended periods required.

· Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.

· Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

· May be required to help to transfer the patient.

· Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.

Work Environment:

· Medical office and exam room settings.

· Possible exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, and other conditions common to the clinic.
