Job Summary:

The Drafter will develop technical illustrations for installing and repairing. This position will support the Engineering department for development and production hardware lifecycles.

Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneDuties/Responsibilities:

• Reports to the VP of Engineering.
• Prepare technical drawings and plans
• Use software to convert the designs of architects and engineers into technical drawings
• Meet and consult with electrical engineers to discuss wire diagrams and schematics for electrical installations
• Gather all relevant facts for each project and ensure that all deliverables communicate the correct information
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
• Perform retouching and manipulation of images
• Stay current with the latest standards, processes, and trends in the visual design field

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent eye for detail
• A strong knowledge in mathematics, artistic ability, and technical expertise with SolidWorks PDM
• Able to learn new tools and processes quickly and work in a fast-evolving environment.
• Ability to receive, interpret, and implement constructive feedback into your work

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Ability to traverse manufacturing facility.
