Position Function:

Quantic X-Microwave is seeking a motivated Buyer / Planner to join our finance team. Primary responsibilities for this critical role are ownership of production planning, developing the supply chain and development of our new ERP system. Some responsibilities are:


  • Leads procurement of materials and services with proper consideration for just-in-time delivery, proper quantity, at the engineered quality level, and at a competitive cost.
  • Schedules production jobs in coordination with engineering and operation leaders.
  • Support scheduling engineering jobs in conjunction with engineering planner.
  • Assist in the development of long-term material acquisition plans, including supplier development, inventory management, and cost management.
  • Lead development of ERP planning in conjunction with production and engineer leads.
  • Assist in the development of MRP to build out supply and demand recommendations, reconciling with current inventory in conjunction with required delivery dates for orders.
  • Monitors for material shortage conditions and takes appropriate actions to remedy them.
  • Coordinates material disposition actions on engineering change orders and problem parts as they affect material on order, in inventory or in manufacturing.
  • Reviews and authorizes for payment of product which have corresponding PO’s.
  • Assist with processing non-conforming materials, purchase requisitions and pricing adjustments.


Requirements:
  • Minimum 7+ years combined program management / direct buying experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred electronics industry and government contracts).
  • MRP / ERP experience required (preferred NetSuite)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build effective working relationships in team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, able to effectively communicate to senior leadership and suppliers.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel user
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred Business, Engineering or Supply Chain)
  • Must be a self-starter, able to operate with limited supervision.
  • Applicants must be a US Person capable of handling ITAR data
