Job Title: Senior Accountant

Reports To: Senior Controller

Job Description:

The Staff/Senior Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting support to the Senior Controller. This person will record daily and monthly transactional activity while adhering to US-GAAP accounting policies that includes record preparation, research, and reporting related to, but not limited to, general ledger activities, month-end closing activities, reconciliation of accounts as directed, financial-related reports, schedules, and audits. Assignment of special projects directed to controlling related tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Prepare analyses, accruals, and journal entries for month-end close processes

· Prepare inventory, accrual, fixed asset, and other account reconciliations

· Work closely with parent and sister companies to provide timely intercompany reconciliations. Assist with the preparation of periodic financial statements

· Provide detailed project cost analysis at completion of the jobs for operational improvement

· Understand and apply cost accounting principles specific to the manufacturing industry. Regularly Analyze and report costs and inventory variances and work with department members to understand and resolve issues.

· Oversee cycle counting program, implement company-wise internal control over inventory processes and transactions.

· Oversee accounts payable to maintain financial and internal control and data integrity; be a strong backup for daily tasks whenever required.

· Assist with annual audits and tax preparation to ensure compliance

· Develop processes and procedures to improve department efficiency; actively involve and assist with SAP implementation for financial module. Become a key-user once the system is alive, share best practices with others.

· Prepare sales and use tax returns, 1099, assist with annual audits and tax preparation to ensure compliances.

· Other duties as deemed necessary

Requirements:

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.

· 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP).

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Sufficient Experience with ERP systems

· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
