Position: Parking Manager

Salary: $24.00-26.00/hr

Type: Full-time (hourly) position, expected to work non-regular hours; weekends, and holidays.

Reports to: Director of Operations



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Management: Oversee the Parking Department, including personnel, operations, and equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local parking regulations and laws.
  • Monitoring: Track parking lot occupancy and revenue generation.
  • Training: Oversee staff training to ensure performance standards are met.
  • Data Management: Maintain parking capacity data and advise cross-functional teams of potential operational impacts.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure parking policies and procedures meet expectations and established standards while maximizing profitability.
  • Cash Handling: Supervise parking staff in cash handling tasks, including making change, balancing, and recording cash drawer. Prepare cash for deposit or disbursement.
  • Security: Patrol parking areas to prevent vehicle damage and theft and monitor surroundings for potential hazards.
  • Maintenance: Keep parking areas clean and orderly to maximize space usage.
  • Traffic Control: Direct motorists to parking areas or spaces using hand signals or flashlights as necessary. Lift, position, and remove barricades to open or close parking areas.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience: Previous experience in parking operations or the parking industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry terminology, facility capabilities, and operational procedures.
  • Multitasking: Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Independence & Teamwork: Capability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Pressure Handling: Ability to work effectively under pressure and within stringent schedules to produce accurate results.
  • Flexibility: Ability to remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered during employment.
  • Physical Requirement: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
