Position Summary & Objective

We are seeking a Production Engineer who understands the challenges and opportunities faced by our production engineering customers and who is motivated to create solutions through the integration of production engineering processes with advanced data analytics. This role focuses on optimizing oil and gas production performance, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and ensuring the accuracy of operational data across our organization. The ideal candidate has experience as a production engineer and one who has demonstrated the use of business intelligence tools to enhance well outcomes and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing leadership in data management and engineering analytics to support continuous improvement and operational excellence. This is an in-office position that can located in The Woodlands, Dallas, or Midland, TX, and will require periodic travel for team events and projects.


Compensation:

Base Salary: Compensation includes industry competitive salary commensurate with experience plus performance incentives

Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus.

Essential Duties:

Lead the development and implementation of production engineering strategies, leveraging data analytics to enhance operational efficiency and performance.

• Oversee the integration and analysis of production data, ensuring its accuracy, consistency, and relevance for decision-making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering and data analytics efforts with broader business objectives.

• Manage the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide insights into production performance and trends.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization through data analysis.

• Ensure the integrity and security of production and operational data across systems, including Salesforce and other business intelligence platforms.

• Lead special projects related to production engineering and data analytics, driving results that align with company goals.

• Support the development and implementation of data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance with industry standards.

• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.


Essential Education, Skills, and Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in production engineering with a proven track record of leadership.

• Expertise in production engineering processes and data management, with a strong understanding of business intelligence tools like Salesforce, Power BI, and Excel.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement data-driven strategies that optimize production performance.

• Strong project management skills, leading complex initiatives from conception to completion.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Experience with data governance and quality assurance practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is required; advanced degree preferred.


Position Type/Work Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional work outside of these hours may be required as job duties demand.


Travel
Periodic travel may be required.


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
