The purpose of the Supply Chain Operations is to provide a high level of satisfaction in delivering the best customer service, through accountability, dedication, and responsiveness, while ensuring company goals are being satisfied in regard to parts and raw materials supply management.

Supply Chain Operations is responsible for supplying all production, manufacturing and fabrication supply chain activities (parts and materials deliveries, upgrades or replacements to production floor of all parts and or materials management), inbound and outbound flows to and from the production floor. Strong interfaces between Supply Chain departments, Production floor, Central Planning, Engineering, and Customer Service departments will be required.


Essential Functions / Responsibility:

  • Timely delivery and verification of all production parts and raw materials to the production floor.
  • Clear communication with the team leads in the Production department to ensure they have all needed materials and parts for their production day.
  • Run and maintain parts completeness reports to make certain all parts have been kitted and accounted for.
  • Efficiently work with Production leads and Production workers to help with any changed orders of lost parts or materials.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain department to ensure service contract commitments/targets are met.
  • Ensure all parts and/or materials are deliver on time and to appropriate teams/locations.
  • Maintain/improve cooperation between supply chain team and production teams for optimal executions.
  • Responsible for inputting correct demand into the system.
  • Serve as a point of contact between Supply Chain, management teams and Production to ensure the right planning and material availability, including critical materials management.
  • Monitor critical materials and ensure effective site coverage.
  • Manage and improve both internal and external relationships, communication and performances on a day-to-day basis.
  • Meet with and provide reports while supporting continuous improvements.
  • An awareness to cost management strategies and how to maximize efficiencies to reduce costs while performing these job tasks, looking for cost improvements and optimizing performance.
  • Deliver on assigned cost targets.
  • Offer critical analysis for Support Cost reductions programs.
  • Understand and analyze your position as operations interface for new and more efficient execution.
  • Improve both professionally and efficiently while fulfilling job duties, improving self and processes as necessary.
  • Drive process standardization and efficiencies.
  • After receiving onsite training, must be able operate forklift to transport, load, and unload supplies, as the need requires.
  • Additional duties as requested.

Basic Knowledge Desired:

  • Have the capability of being able to correctly enter data into computer systems as well as keep the same information correctly documented and filed on paper.
  • Have the ability to manage one’s own time around others’ schedules as well as completing all the tasks at hand you need to be done in an efficient priority order.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.
  • Employee will routinely lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. (If item is 50 pounds or heavier, a two-person assist is required).

Working Environment:

  • Fast paced environment, open concept office area, interacts regularly with the Production floor.
  • All Team Members must wear provided OSHA approved eye protection at all times on the Production Floor.
  • Team members are subjected to noise levels which may range from moderately loud to loud. Hearing protection is available if desired.
  • Some exposure to strong odors and fumes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Graduate, diploma or GED received. College diploma preferred.
  • Background in Receiving, Supply Chain, Production, Manufacturing, and/or Procurement very desirable.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • 45-50 WPM typing, with 10-Key
  • Previous experience in purchasing / procurement and data base entry.
