Job Description


The Process Engineer will work as part of the production team to evaluate CCT’s current manufacturing processes for both efficacy and efficiency while implementing engineered solutions to the shop floor


Job Duties

•Management of active CAPEX projects including,

oAct as a point of contact between the vendor(s) and the shop floor to form expected timelines to implementation and completion for each project

oCreate return on investment (ROI) justification for any proposed projects as part of the budget planning process

oPropose new projects after identifying opportunities for improvement to the shopfloor

•Work with area managers to continuously improve workflow of existing processes through automation of machine processes, the inventory management system, or task ergonomics in order to reduce scrap and improve efficiencies

•Oversee new product trials and qualification including creation of all pre-trial process documentation and all post-trial action plans

•Create and implement a 6S program to be reviewed on a monthly basis with all area managers

•Assist in root cause identification and corrective action implementation for all production related customer complaints

•Create engineering drawings to either,

oAssist the shop floor as part of process documentation

oQuote parts to fabrication shops

Requirements:

Qualifications

•BS Degree in an engineering discipline is required

•2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role

•Base knowledge of working within an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing environment

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products

•Solidworks or AutoCAD proficiency a plus


Required Skills

•Must have strong time management skills to handle multiple ongoing projects in addition to day to day process improvement or resolution tasks

•Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a group

•Regard safety as a core value and serve as a role model for other employees to encourage adherence to safety practice/procedures
