We are seeking an Electromechanical Engineer / Product Support Engineer for a manufacturing company in beautiful New Braunfels, Texas. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Is the voice of the customer providing electro-mechanical information to customers and engineering as needed for current and custom products.
  • Completes analysis on product designs and troubleshoots electro-mechanical devices.
  • Collaboratively researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Collaboratively researches, designs, evaluates, and maintains mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements.
  • Builds and evaluates prototypes for new and custom products.
  • Supports customer and engineering with establishing custom and existing product timelines, managing special projects, and other support-related duties as required.
  • Communicates with customers and other sources to identify needs and create specifications, and documentation as required for new, custom, and existing products.
  • Interfaces with customers and provides cost and quotes on Custom projects.
  • Provides product specifications and input for the development of point-to-point wiring schematics and documentation to support applications.
  • Reviews instructions and point-to-point wiring schematics (for electrified products) of integrated systems for new, custom products.
  • Prepares technical product documentation and manages special technology projects.
  • Records data on the Concept Validation Process for new and existing products.
  • Provides general/technical information for product development, design, and marketing.
  • Participates in tradeshows, displays, and attends tradeshows.
  • Provides technical assistance to other departments, including Marketing, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality Control, Customer Service, Production, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution/college or university in electronics or electrical engineering. Or an associate with 5 years of manufacturing-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles, practices, and techniques
  • Experience working and troubleshooting electro-mechanical devices.
  • Able to read and create point-to-point electric diagrams and schematics.
  • Able to specify electric requirements for operating hardware with multiple electric functions.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles used in the production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, schematics, and models.
  • General knowledge of commercial security and door hardware products preferred.
  • 50% travel required and fluent in Spanish.
