Technical Writer - Jr.

Premier Enterprise Solutions is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear and concise documentation that explains complex technical information in a user-friendly manner. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, developers, configuration managers and project managers to gather information and ensure accuracy in technical documentation.

This is a hybrid position, required to be in-office twice a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit technical documentation including user manuals, guides, API documentation, and specifications.
  • Work closely with technical staff to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usability of documentation.
  • Organize and structure content for readability and ease of use.
  • Research, gather, and analyze technical and engineering information from various sources.
  • Revise and update documentation as new issues arise or changes to systems occur.
  • Test documentation against software to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and product managers.
  • Maintain documentation standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer or similar role.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in document formatting and publishing tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Familiarity with version control systems and documentation management tools (e.g., Git, Confluence).
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
