What will you be doing in your role?

  • Lead internal research and evaluation efforts to ensure our programs are effective and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Lead and manage evaluation and design staff and support their development
  • Set the tone for collaboration of the research, evaluation, and design staff within the agency
  • Design and implement evaluation frameworks for agency programs
  • Develop and maintain an evaluation specialist manual
  • Develop and maintain a research and evaluation theory of change, logic model, and customer journey map
  • Document institutional knowledge and formalize processes for program design, evaluation and research
  • Oversee and approve the development of evaluation plans for all programs
  • Ensure evaluation frameworks align with program goals, funding requirements, and best practices in the field
  • Collaborate with program staff to integrate evaluation activities into program operations seamlessly
  • Oversee development and execution of internal research projects
  • Oversee and approve summative reporting for the purposes of evaluation and program improvement
  • Operationalize program interventions and services for the purpose of evaluation and research
  • Create clear and actionable evaluation and research reporting.
  • Oversee the collection of quantitative and qualitative data from various sources, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and administrative data
  • Utilize statistical software and other tools to analyze data, identify trends, and assess program effectiveness
  • Ensure data integrity and maintain accurate records of all evaluation/research activities
  • Use research and evaluation findings to provide actionable recommendations for program improvement and strategic planning
  • Work closely with evaluation specialists and program team to implement changes based on evaluation results
  • Participate in strategic planning process to ensure data-driven decision making
  • Provide training and technical assistance to program staff on evaluation methods, data collection techniques, and data analysis
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the organization
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in program evaluation and research

Are you the next Research & Evaluation Manager?

  • Master’s degree in social sciences, public health, public administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program evaluation and research, preferably within a social service agency.
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R) and data visualization tools such as PowerBI
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with grant writing and reporting is a plus.

  • Full-Time, salaried position with a starting pay of $68,000, based on minimum job requirements. Pay is determined by relevant experience, work history, education and internal equities.
