The vision for EmployIndy is clear: for all Marion County residents to have access to services and training necessary to secure a livable wage and grow in a career that meets employer demand for talent.

The Community Career Services Program Coordinator (CCSPC) is a full-time, grants funded project manager position responsible for managing and providing functional oversight of Community Career Services workforce development-based programs targeting Opportunity Youth and adults.


To be successful in this role you will accomplish:

  • As coordinator of these neighborhood-based programs and services, the incumbent will provide departmental support and technical assistance.
  • Develop base knowledge and understanding of departmental programs including:

o Youth Employment System (YES Indy)

• YES Indy Re-Engagement Centers (RECs)

• Power Huddle (v1.0, v2.0 & v3.0)

• B/C Level Occupational Pathway Training

o City Jr. Park Ranger Initiative

o YouthBuild/AmeriCorps/Department of Labor

o Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

o ARPA Micro-Programs

Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required; some college level experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience program/project management experience
  • Progressive work history with increasing levels of accomplishment required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to be creative in developing alternatives to meet EmployIndy needs

  • Ability to maintain cooperative work relationships
