POSITION TITLE: WG-A OUTREACH & RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the WG-A Program Manager, the Washington College Grant for Apprenticeships Outreach and Recruitment Specialist is responsible for executing the outreach and recruitment plan for ANEW’s Washington Grant for Apprenticeship program. The Washington College Grant
(WCG) was created in 2019-20, to provide a statewide free college program for eligible participants, and greater access to postsecondary education for Washington residents—expanding and replacing the State Need Grant.
The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication qualities, be committed to working with diverse populations, and provide excellent customer service to a broad range of cultures. This position advances ANEW's values for fair and culturally competent service delivery, innovation, efficient application of resources, building a culture of performance, and expanding opportunities to seek input, listen and respond to industry and residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Meet with potential participants and gather application information.
• Conduct bi-monthly online and in-person information sessions.
• Respond to inquiries and phone calls about WG-A and services available through ANEW.
• Assist with conducting eligibility for enrollment into WG-A in collaboration with WG-A Navigator and Program Manager
• Attend quarterly meetings with apprenticeship coordinators and sponsor organizations in attendance at Eastern and Western Washington Apprenticeship Coordinators meetings.
• Create a mailing list of all the apprenticeship coordinators from LNI and follow up directly by phone and in-person.
• Recruit and maintain relationships with at least 30 sponsors and apprenticeships statewide.
• Ability to travel within Washington state up to 75% of the time.
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
• Work independently and as a member of a team
• Prioritize and organize workload.
• Manage time and projects to meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or equivalent required (Associates, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred) or minimum of 1 year of industry related experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, SharePoint), Salesforce, and general office equipment.
• Ability to travel within Washington state at least 75% of the time.
• Demonstrated commitment to economic, racial, and social justice and an understanding of the ways institutions and systems hurt communities of color through both conscious and unconscious bias.
• Flexibility and adaptability in working with a growing non-profit.
• Strong communication and administrative skills with a proven track record of managing multiple projects.
• Experience in working with collaborative partnerships.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Must possess a Washington State driver’s license.
• Background screening through Washington State Patrol
• Ability to work flexible schedule to include evening and or weekend
• Proof of citizenship or other authorization for employment
• Continuation of employment is contingent upon successfully performing work described
• Continuation of this position is dependent on achievement of performance goals and availability of funding

WORK LOCATION: ANEW Tukwila Training Center and Satellite locations as assigned. This position may include up to 75% of travel. This position is eligible for hybrid upon agreement with the Director of Strategic Partnerships.
WORK SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, exempt position. Regular workweek is 40 hours, Monday through Friday business hours. Occasional evenings, weekends, and some travel may be required.
REPORTS TO: Department Program Manager

SALARY:
This position is an exempt position with a starting salary rate of $31.00 - $32.90 hourly. This position is grant funded and continuation of this position is subject to funding.
The starting hourly rate is based on education and experience as per the below matrix:

BENEFITS:
The successful candidate is expected to serve a 90-day probation period. Benefits will take effect 60 days after the first of the month following the hire date. Employer paid benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision and participation in a 401k plan.
A portion of the medical premium is made by the employee through a pre-tax contribution at time of payroll posting. Employees who work 30 hours per week or more qualify for full benefits and pay a pre-tax contribution of $80 per month for the employee. Employees who work 20 hours per week pay 25% of their benefits. Employees who work less than 20 hours per week are not eligible for paid benefits. Additional employer paid benefits include basic life insurance, vacation, sick leave, holiday pay and taxes as required by law. If the position is more than 30/hours per week, employer paid medical benefits will include medical, dental, and vision benefits. ANEW also contributes a 4% match to a 401K after one year of employment.
