We are currently looking for a Lab Technician to support our team in Dexter, Michigan. This person is responsible for sample processing and data analysis in support of Trucent's industrial fluids, ethanol, and food and beverage customers.

We are ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You'll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct intake and log customer samples utilizing established lab protocol and system.
  • Run tests and collect data for customer samples efficiently and effectively.
  • Record all experiments, investigations, procedures, and data.
  • Perform wet chemistry techniques, physical testing, and QC testing on a variety of industrial samples.
  • Safely operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to write reports and analyze data.
  • Properly dispose of chemicals and laboratory waste.
  • Communicate regularly with sales team members and group leaders regarding sample data.
  • Comply with all aspects of laboratory safety and the Trucent safety program, including but not limited to hazard communication, PPE requirements, and safety training.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Requires a high school education or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 0-3 years of related experaince, lab experiance is preferred.

Skills and Abilities: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly, associated with this position:

  • Ability to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Perform the basic functions of arithmetic and algebra; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measurement; compute ratio, rate and percent; calculate variables and formulas.
  • Perform basic written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in use of laboratory instruments.
  • Basic computer & software skills.
  • Requires a well-organized individual with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
