WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for an upbeat and talented Server to join our team at our new restaurant, Le Moyne's Chophouse. This individual will be responsible for answering questions about our food and beverage offerings, taking orders and delivering those items to our guests. They will work closely with our culinary team and bartenders to ensure the best dining experience for our guests.
While no job description can possibly provide a comprehensive list of job duties, the following is a summary of the major responsibilities for the position.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welcome all customers warmly and with appropriate greetings
Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
Perform opening and closing duties, as well as cleaning tables and chairs throughout service to comply with state regulations.
Prepare dining tables for service, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparations and side-work tasks
Take guest food and beverage orders accurately
Knowledge of current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations
Handle table assignments, seating customers, food and drink suggestions, and communicating customer needs to the cooks
Control guest checks and secure proper payment
Ensuring a memorable dining experience
Properly open and pour wine tableside
Accurately record revenue and accept cash, credit card, room charges and direct billing payments
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
Assist with special events if needed
Assist customers with disabilities
Thank guest with genuine appreciation
Answer telephone using appropriate etiquette
Develop and maintain positive working relationship with co-workers and others
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
Responsible for punctuality when reporting to work, and clocking in and out
Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
All other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or any other member of management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No supervision required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Education:
High school diploma, preferred
Training in fine dining restaurants preferred
Prior education in ServSafe food handling, or TIPS alcohol service training preferred
Experience:
Minimum of one year prior serving experience preferred
Prior guest relations training
Knowledge of proper food handling
Knowledge of Wine & Spirits
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding
Strong written/verbal communication skills
Positive, upbeat attitude/personality
Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision
Punctuality and reliable attendance are required
Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
Experience working with computers (MS Office/Google) POS (Micros, Aloha, etc.) and reservation software (Open Table, Resy, etc.)
Skills:
A polite, engaging, and professional personality
Commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence
Must be able to speak English to communicate with guests. Must be able to recognize situations which may involve guests that require immediate supervisory attention. Must know and use reasonable care for the safety and security of the guests.
Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal supervision.

Physical & Mental Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age;
Must be able to lift 50lbs;
Ability to bend, kneel, squat;
Ability to stand/walk for an 8 hour shift
Ensure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, extending arms over head, bending and stooping are performed safely
Frequently required to use hands and arms to reach and handle. Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Ability to push and pull, lift and carry up to 30lbs
Ability to push and pull vacuum cleaners as well as wheeled carts weighing up to 30 pounds
Work Environment:
Le Moyne’s Chophouse is a sixty seat dinner-only restaurant with a bar. Will occasionally work in other areas of the property including other restaurant/banquet outlets, storage areas, kitchens, and guest areas.
