Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the forklift operator is responsible for handling material and products within our warehouse facility. Utilizing forklifts, they load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, organize and stack items in the appropriate storage areas, and ensure the safety and efficiency of the handling process. They must maintain machinery, adhere to safety guidelines, and keep accurate records of inventory movements. This role requires attention to detail, certification in forklift operation, and a commitment to workplace safety.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
· Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production lists.
· Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
· Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
· Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
· Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
· Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repairs.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
· Perform other duties, as necessary.
· Must abide by Company Values, Rules of Engagement and Culture.
Requirements:Education: A high school education or equivalent is required.
Experience: Two years of experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with Combilift or similar industrial vehicle preferred.
Skills: Acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward co-workers; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness.
Physical: Must be able to meet the physical and mental demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
Must be safety minded, drug free, organized & able to communicate.
Must be able to see and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, throw, pull, reach overhead, and sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.

Must be able to maintain positive, professional relationships with customers and co-workers.
Must be able to understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written.
Must be able to organize and prioritize the workload assigned.
Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision to complete assigned projects.
