Dr. Dunbar was a general dentist in the Navy for 9 ½ years then specialized in orthodontics.
This position is at 1 location Monday through Thursday, 7:30am -5:00pm with a full 1hour lunch break daily.

Duties:
- Shows a positive, friendly attitude and respect toward patients, parents and office staff
- Responsible for opening and closing the office
- Updates patient information in the computer
- Maintains a system for “no-show” appointments
- Sends recall cards
- Backup for New Patient Calls
- Maintains a neat reception room, including disposal of outdated magazines and dispose of un-tasteful literature
- Keeps track of outstanding active patients without appointments
- Responsible for posting payments at the front desk and asking for payment if payment is due
- Communicates scheduling changes to all staff members
- Coordinates New Patients starts by assisting parents, completing contract and all necessary paperwork including payment
- Greets patients and makes them feel welcome in our office
- Answers all phone calls
- Checks messages throughout the day due to missed calls while assisting other patients – Assisting appointments at front desk is priority. Can let call go to VM
- Screen patients when they have an orthodontic emergency and schedule if needed
- Gives school excuses and appointment cards
- Make and distribute copies of the schedule
- As schedule changes occur in the workday, notifies the clinic
- Take responsibility of checking and correcting all patient status
- Sends letters to patients if needed and mails letters from the office
- Gather all patients e-mail
- Other duties as determined by Doctors and Manager
- Email debond pano to DDS
- Promptly reply to call email appointment request via email and phone call
- End of day task - financially
This person reports directly to the office manager and the Doctor
