  2. Experience: Previous experience in cost accounting, preferably within the construction industry. Familiarity with construction accounting principles, job costing, and project management is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  1. Variance Analysis: Monitor actual costs against budgeted amounts, identifying and investigating variances to ensure project profitability and financial accuracy.
  2. Billing and Invoicing: Collaborate with project managers to prepare accurate and timely client invoices based on project milestones and completed work.
  3. Contract Management: Review construction contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements to ensure compliance with financial terms and conditions.
  4. Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks associated with construction projects, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
  5. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  6. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve cost accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  7. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with project managers, estimators, procurement staff, and others to support project objectives and financial goals.
  8. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis related to project costs and financial transactions.
