- Conduct regular inspections of produced fasteners to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and address any defects or inconsistencies in the production process.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and quality checks.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance on hot header machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or malfunctions.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel for complex repairs and servicing.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow company policies and procedures for machine operation and maintenance.
- Participate in safety training sessions and report any safety concerns to the supervisor.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the production team to meet daily production targets.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and any issues encountered.
- Provide training and guidance to junior operators as needed.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Hot Header Setup Operator or similar role in the fastener manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in setting up and operating hot header machines.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or training in machine operation is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as required.
- Prolonged standing, bending, and reaching during machine operation.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
