Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

The Social Services Coordinator is responsible for organizing and facilitating social service events at ITEX apartment communities. They must successfully coordinate and implement various activities for each property; such as after-school programs, Meals on Wheels, scholastic tutoring, computer courses, health and nutrition events, services for the aging, and managing personal finance courses.


Responsibilities:

  • Working with property managers to ensure programs are being implemented
  • Developing relationships with local resources
  • Maintain documentation for each property confirming the effectiveness of each program
  • Work with property managers to make changes to underperforming programs
  • Creating monthly calendars, flyers, and any other social services notifications as well as distributing them to residents.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in social work or related field and or H.S. Diploma or equivalent with 2 years’ experience in social services.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office

Physical Requirements:

  • Bending stooping and reaching in all directions
  • Frequent sitting while driving from apartment complex to apartment complex
  • Ability to lit up to 35lbs, loading and unloading supplies
  • Sitting for extended periods of time while entering data into a computer.
  • Frequent standing while visiting apartment communities
