Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00am - 3:30pm
Job Description:We are seeking an Accounts Payable/General Cashier to effectively support the Accounting Manager by assisting in the financial reporting/recording of expenditures using accepted accounting procedures and within the guidelines or standard operating procedures set by the company and simultaneously using strict confidentiality when discussing/viewing financial aspects of the company. This is a position that demands precision, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and high ethical standards. Our emphasis is based on caring and attentive employees who embrace the Company’s Mission/Vision Statement and Core Values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Input accounts payable, create/maintain vendor files.
  • Fill out new vendor applications, develop and maintain relationships with existing or new vendors.
  • Obtain W-9 forms when required, maintain vendors that are classed as 1099 recipients and prepare 1099 forms for year end reporting.
  • General cashiering duties include counting cash drops, creating deposits from cash drops, verifying that all cash/checks are accounted for according to the cash drop log/check outs or daily cash detail reports.
  • Report any procedure that was not followed that pertains to cash procedures or anything that may be detrimental to the operation of the property.
  • Reimburse house banks that staff members are responsible for, audit house banks and keep accounting house bank in balance.
  • Issue/maintain purchase orders.
  • Assist in completing projects/month end close, when necessary, that pertain to accounting or financial reporting of the company with strict confidentiality.
  • Present self in accordance with Wine & Roses Mission/Vision; promote positive relations at all times in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist in any clerical duties on a needed basis.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report when there is a safety hazard.

Qualifications:
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, and reach; lift and carry equipment and supplies; walking daily up and down the stairs and sitting for periods up to 4 hours and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional knowledge of computers, excel, outlook, word, Mas500, Resort Suites, and Aloha
  • Exceptional detail in follow-up
  • Strong knowledge in accounting operations including but not limited to budgetary, projections, and cost control
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent prioritizing skills
  • Ten key/typing proficient
