Mixer/Extruder Operator

As a Mixer and Extruder Operator, you will play a critical role in our production process. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining mixing and extruding equipment to produce thermoplastic materials according to specified formulas and standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our products meet the highest industry standards.

• Supports all safety and environmental objectives of the facility and follows established policies and procedures.
• Operating plastic extrusion and mixing equipment, including set up, trouble shooting, adjusting, and performing quality control tests.
• Weighing and Mixing ingredients.
• Performing material handling tasks including filling bins/hoppers with ingredients.
• Weighing and packaging finished products.
• Cleaning work area and machines.
• Operating a forklift truck and Aerial Platform Lift as needed.
• Operating auxiliary equipment such as scales, driers, blenders, pumps, classifiers, conveyors and injection molders.
• Assists in training others.
• Continuous checks of product quality.
• Ensure processes and test results are properly documented and any anomalies properly communicated.
• Good attendance. On time all the time and lead by example attitude.
• Production and Plant cleaning tasks.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with mixers and extruders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and formulas.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality materials.
• Basic math skills for measuring and mixing raw materials.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
