RichSmith Management is seeking a Courtesy Officer for our apartment community in West Memphis, AR. If you are a licensed law enforcement officer passionate about ensuring safety and security, we want you to join our team and help create a secure and inviting environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grounds Patrol: Conduct routine checks of the apartment grounds, including common buildings and amenities like the clubhouse, pool, and playground, a minimum of twice nightly between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., seven days a week.
  • Monitor & Report: Keep a vigilant eye on the property to identify suspicious activity. Promptly report any concerns to local authorities and the Community Director.
  • Special Patrols: Provide extra patrols during holidays such as the Fourth of July and New Year's Eve, as well as on an as-needed basis as determined by RichSmith Management.
  • Safety Inspections: Identify and report any areas with poor lighting or non-functional security lights to the Community Director.
  • Law Enforcement Liaison: Maintain communication with the appropriate law enforcement agency to inform them of your presence on the property.
  • Documentation: Submit a weekly written report of all activities and incidents to the Community Director.
  • Safety Protocol: While ensuring security, refrain from apprehending individuals unless necessary to protect someone from immediate danger.
Qualifications:
  • Law Enforcement Experience: Must be a licensed law enforcement officer in the same city or municipality as the property.
  • Training: Completion of police academy training or related law enforcement training is required.
  • Residency Requirement: Must reside on the property, with an apartment included.
