Accounting Specialist

At Elevated, we are seeking dynamic leaders to join our bookkeeping and payroll client services team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in serving multiple business clients through exceptional bookkeeping and payroll processing. When you become a part of our team, you'll experience unparalleled support and collaboration among our bookkeepers whenever challenges arise. 

Your role will involve guiding clients through the process of gathering information, streamlining their books, ensuring year-round maintenance, and finalizing year-end procedures. You'll also communicate with clients, tax accountants, and relevant government agencies. We are dedicated to providing additional support and training to help you excel in your role.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of the accounting and payroll team's work, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Create and maintain streamlined processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide comprehensive training to our talented teams, empowering them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel.
  • Deliver exceptional client training, ensuring they understand and leverage their financial data effectively.
  • Engage in exciting client projects, collaborating closely with our valued partners to achieve their unique objectives.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with various platforms, including Microsoft, G Suite, Payroll Processing software, Karbon QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online. Ability to quickly adapt to new software.
  • Extensive knowledge of Federal and State Tax and Payroll laws, as well as IRS compliance.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and their application.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, coupled with excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

Qualifications:

  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll and bookkeeping within a public accounting environment.  Accounting degree or certificate is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational abilities that will contribute to our collaborative and supportive work culture.
  • Proven ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt swiftly to changing priorities.
  • Comfort and proficiency in working and communicating effectively with in-office and remote teams.
  • Skill in creating detailed workflows and following tasks accurately.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-resolution skills.
