Admissions Therapist

Join our amazing team as a Clinical Therapist You'll assist in providing a safe environment for individuals while they are in recovery. The Clinical Therapist facilitates the clinical process, answers inquiries, and assists patients adjusting to the program routine. He or she may hold daily groups, documenting progress in the medical record and assisting the patients with all case management activities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent required. (Master's degree preferred)
- Licensure or certification such as LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC required.
- At least twelve months experience working in the substance abuse and/or mental health field. Detoxification experience preferred. Experience delivering lectures on addiction and conducting group sessions.
- Knowledge of addictions and mental health complications. Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic security, employment, etc.
- Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identity including:
- Knowledge of the stages of alcohol and other drug withdrawals and ability to take appropriate action at each stage.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including:
- Confidentiality
- Patient Rights
- Professional Code of Ethics
- Discrimination
- Knowledge of airborne and blood borne pathogens (TB, HIV, AIDS, HB) and risk reduction methodologies and the use of universal precautions.
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
